Cups On String is a collaborative, creative partnership between Amy and Charlie. Using podcasts, zines, exhibition projects and small-scale live events, we aim to communicate concepts, ideas and stories from the comfort of our home, out into the world.

EVENTS
Occasionally we will put on a very small, intimate live event somewhere like in a living room... or a shed with an audience of up to 25 people. Our live events usually involve a combination of two or three of the following elements -
* something visual (a video screening or art installation),
* something audio (a live or pre-recorded sound performance),
* something real (a live performance or something shared).Events are free, invitation only and audience members receive a free pocket sized zine, with contributions by performers / artist involved in the event, to take home as a memento.
EXHIBITIONS
The Pink Board Gallery is a pop up gallery of art and poetry by artists, writers, hobbyists, makers, and local community groups. We primarily put on postcard swapping workshops to raise money for local community groups and charities and sometimes we put on specially curated exhibitions.

PODCASTS
Our first project was a mini podcast where we got a bit 'meta' and discussed discussion... that is, we had a conversation about having conversations. With the shape of communication constantly changing, we explored methods and means of talking, uncovering our theories and examining our own habits.
ZINES
In 2021 we created a series of zines with monthly prompts suggested by That Monthly Zine Project (created by our good friend Jessica Maybury). Our zines consisted of dictionary definitions of the prompt, ideas and notes of our planning process, finished written articles, illustrations and cut-out poetry.
